To register and reserve your space for a Bighorn Basin Geoscience Center Educational Workshop, print out and complete the information on the registration form, and mail the completed form to the address below. Please register as early as possible so that we can finalize our planning, prepare the workbooks, etc.

Workshop Costs:

Cost for each GeoScience Adventures workshop is $300 per 3-day workshop which includes box lunches, refreshments, handouts, handbook, and two hours recertification credit from the Professional Teaching Standards Board.

The workshops will be operating out of the newly remodeled Iowa State University Geology Field Camp, located three miles east of Shell, Wyoming (see images below).

Located on the banks of Shell Creek, this facility features three new large buildings;

          A large classroom unit with meeting space, handicapped restrooms, and washer/dryers

         Two dorm room style buildings, each with five modules equipped with up to four bunks, restroom facilities, high speed internet, & air conditioning.

Workshop participants have the option to stay on-campus during the workshops (at additional cost) - a great option for out-of town attendees!

 

               Workshop fee     -   $ 300.00

         Single occupancy           -   $ 360.00  - four nights, three full days

                             Total cost:            $ 660.00  - four nights, three full days

Twin sheets, pillow, blanket, bath towel, hand towel, washcloth provided, plus meals

Arrive night before workshop by 5pm, depart morning after workshop completion by 10am - includes meals and sack lunches

         Double occupancy - each -  $ 580.00  - four nights, three full days

 

Attendees may elect to stay at camp for additional days at additional cost Contact Cliff for details

 

Optional: - Visit to Wyoming Dinosaur Center in Thermopolis, July 5th, led by Dr. Brett-Surman

The Iowa State University Geology Field Camp is located just three miles East of Shell, Wyoming, on the banks of Shell Creek, and next door to our Geoscience Adventures homesite!

 

Early registration encouraged to facilitate our planning! Full refund of deposit for cancellations made prior to April 1, 2017.

 

College Credit Costs:  For those who elect to take the workshops for college credit, additional costs apply as follows:

 >>> $100 per workshop for two (2) hours of graduate credit through the University of Wyoming Outreach Program (2016 costs 2017 may be slightly higher). These additional fees will be collected the first day of each workshop.
